The session brings together activists and scholars from different traditions who exchange perspectives on the ecological crisis, peace, democracy, and social justice, while exploring the wisdom resources that inspire their movements. It examines whether today’s environmental, political, and social crises reflect a deeper civilizational crisis, and discusses pathways toward ecological justice, peace, and a more sustainable future.
Standing with Sudan: Humanitarian action and global advocacy:
The session explores how civil society, humanitarian organizations, grassroots movements, and international networks are responding to the ongoing crisis in Sudan, and how they can work further through coordinated action and solidarity. The panel highlights initiatives supporting affected communities, particularly women, children, and displaced populations, and also examines how global advocacy can influence international actors, strengthen humanitarian responses and promote a nonviolent path toward des-escalation.
