The fate of Parvin (Akhtar) Rasegh Ghezelbash, a 33-year-old Kurdish woman from Maku, remains unknown 45 days after her arrest by forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organisation in Orumiyeh, the provincial capital.

According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), IRGC Intelligence Organisation forces arrested Rasegh Ghezelbash without a warrant in Orumiyeh on 28 June and took her to an undisclosed location.

Despite her family’s repeated visits to the authorities and continuing efforts to obtain information about her situation, security and judicial authorities have refused to respond or provide any explanation.

No information is still available regarding the reason for her arrest or the charges brought against her.
