We consulted with President Erdoğan on developments in the Peace and Democratic Society Process. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the adoption by the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, with the very high vote of 467, of the “Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration,” also known to the public as the “Framework Law,” was a welcome development. The significance of the stage reached in the process and the steps to be taken from this point onward were mutually assessed.
It was emphasized that, with this law, opening the door to a period in which democracy and the sphere of politics will be strengthened is of vital importance for all our citizens and for our country. During the meeting, the shared determination to continue the process resolutely was once again reaffirmed.
From now on, we will continue our work to ensure that the process advances along the path of peace and democracy for the benefit of every person in our country.
We extend our gratitude to all political parties and sectors of society whose support, suggestions, warnings and criticisms have strengthened us to date."
